Terry Hutchinson is an attorney and avid reader and critic. Terry was raised in California and Utah, the oldest of nine children. He was a National Merit Scholar, ROTC Scholarship recipient, and an Eagle Scout. He was also an All-State swimmer and swam for BYU. Terry served for two years as an LDS missionary to Toronto, Canada. In 1982 he married JeNee Gifford. He received his bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from Brigham Young University. Terry is a member of both the Utah and Nevada Bar Associations. He was commissioned an Officer in the United States Army and served in the JAG Corps as a prosecuting attorney from 1987 to 1992. Terry & JeNee have five children and one grandchild. He began his law practice in St. George, Utah in 1992. He maintains offices in St. George, Utah and Mesquite, Nevada. Terry does a daily radio broadcast focused on reading, literacy and education called “Book Marks with Terry Hutchinson.” He makes frequent appearances on radio call-in programs, local TV networks, lecturing forums and has written many articles reviewing books. He served two terms on the Board of Trustees for the Washington County Library. He served as president of the Washington County ARC of Southern Utah and as an officer for the state of Utah ARC. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Learning Center for Families. His greatest achievements are the success and happiness of his family. He is also an avid BYU Cougar fan.
